The book of Psychoanalytic Views 1 Symposium contains articles about transference and counter-transference collected from the symposium lectures by local and international psychoanalysts and analyst candidates.
Transference, an obstacle to the psychoanalytic treatment yet at the same time the most basic instrument of it, shows the complex connection between the analyst and the analysand. While reviving the important figures in his personal history with his analyst, the analysand relives them instead of remembering. The analyst also in counter-transference considers the dynamics of the treatment, the history of the analysand, and especially his own transference directed towards the psychoanalysis as a transference object and adds a new and current dimension to all these transferences.
The roads psychoanalytic treatment has travelled on transference phenomenon both in technical and in theoretical aspects in the last 110 years are diverse and they bring as current issues the different views in the different geographies of psychoanalysis.
Psychoanalytic Views aims to actualize this multiplicity with psychoanalysts from United States of America, France, Greece, and Turkey in a symposium organization followed by this book.
