The concept of “Death Drive” on which we focused last year is being approached this time from different angles through texts exploring the fate of destructive and aggressive drives, and creative psychic move through which destruction turns into creation. The concept of “sublimation”, which has an important place in psychoanalytic theories of creativity, is being reviewed from a new perspective which broadens these theories.
In the Annual, there are also articles, which focus on homosexuality and highlight various psychoanalytic perspectives that are not so well known.
An interesting paper, which reports the results of a long-term psychoanalytic research on refugee problem, provides seminal information to the academics and to the researchers who conduct fieldwork on the matter of refugees. And again, this year as it was every year, we present in the Annual articles with clinical examples, and a psychoanalytic film critique.
