This led us to choose the theme of the 9 th Psychoanalytic Views Symposium as "violence" which is an inevitable part of the human psyche and human interaction. We would like to think together on the concept of violence in this world where the violence palpably strikes us almost every day.
In its sixth year, Psike Istanbul Cinema Evenings continue in collaboration with Moda Sahnesi. The 2016-2017 cinema discussions are centered on the theme of “Good-Evil” and seek to answer questions such as what is good / what is evil / and how they discretely become interchangeable. The “Introduction to Psychoanalysis” seminars, which will be organized by our Association for the eleventh time this year, are conducted in two different levels.
Just as every year, Psychoanalysis: One Theory, One Master is once again bringing together two masters of psychoanalysis. We will have the opportunity to learn about Jean Laplanche, one of the most important psychoanalysts in history, from Emma Piccioli, one of the contemporary masters of psychoanalysis.
Life commences through a separation and ends with another separation. The individual copes with psychic separation anxiety, catastrophic dread, loneliness and death itself. The symposium topic of this year is "separation" which is experienced at an individual as well as a collective level and has been the inspiration for literature and art throughout centuries.
