2014-2015\u00a0INTRODUCTION TO PSYCHOANALYSIS<\/strong><\/p>\n

The \u201cIntroduction to Psychoanalysis\u201d seminars, which will be organized by our Association
\nfor the seventh time this year, are conducted in two different levels.<\/p>\n

INTRODUCTION TO PSYCHOANALYSIS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sigmund Freud\u2019s theory of psychoanalysis; the encounter between psychoanalytical concepts\u00a0and clinical practice; the multi dimensionality and diversity of theory and fields of practice\u00a0are explored through primary psychoanalytic texts with theoretical seminars and presentation\u00a0of case studies. This section of the seminars is open to the participation of everyone who\u00a0would like to study primary psychoanalytic texts and who are also interested in the practical\u00a0application of the psychoanalytic approach in their individual or institutional practice.\u00a0Psychoanalytic theory, defense mechanisms, personality organizations and psychopathology\u00a0will be discussed in the framework of C. Brenner\u2019s An Elementary Textbook of\u00a0Psychoanalysis, N. McWilliams\u2019s Psychoanalytic Diagnosis, A. Freud\u2019s The Ego and the\u00a0Mechanisms of Defense, R. Perron\u2019s What is Psychoanalysis?, and V. Volkan\u2019s\u00a0Psychoanalytic Technique Expanded.\u00a0Additionally, a seminar on neuropsychoanalysis will potentially be added to the program.\u00a0The seminars will take place between October 2014 \u2013 June 2015.<\/p>\n

Sessions will be held bimonthly on Mondays between 20.00 and 22.00.<\/strong><\/p>\n

SECOND STEP: Case Studies
\n<\/strong>
\nStructured around presentations and discussions through the active participation of\u00a0participants who have completed the Introduction to Psychoanalysis Seminars in previous\u00a0years, this program is open to psychiatric assistants or psychiatrists, clinical psychologists,\u00a0psychologists and graduate students in psychology, and psychological counselors who would\u00a0like to pursue advanced studies in this field. The program, which aims to facilitate an\u00a0exchange of clinical practice and a discussion of the clinical reflections of theoretical issues,\u00a0is comprised of case studies.\u00a0Recommended volumes for further reading: Sigmund Freud\u2019s Psychopathology of Everyday\u00a0Life, Interpretation of Dreams, On Metapsychology, and other volumes; Anna Freud\u2019s The\u00a0Ego and the Mechanisms of Defense; Melanie Klein\u2019s Envy and Gratitude, Love, Guilt and\u00a0Reparation; C. Brenner\u2019s An Elementary Textbook of Psychoanalysis; N. McWilliams\u2019s\u00a0Psychoanalytic Diagnosis; Roger. Perron\u2019s What is Psychoanalysis?; and Vam\u0131k Volkan\u2019s
