SUMMARY:PSYCHOANALYTIC VIEWS 3 : 'Lost Object' (2007)
DESCRIPTION:PSYCHOANALYTIC VIEWS 3 : LOST OBJECT\nPsyche evolves from the object that does not exist there\, it evolves from absence. In essence\, isn’t psychoanalysis an experience of the absence itself? Psychoanalysts have proposed that the reason for this experience of absence is the lost object. Experiences which enable the establishment of subjectivity\, i.e. separation\, mourning\, castration anxiety\, are representations of the lost object detected in the clinical setting. When we say “representation”\, aren’t we fundamentally talking about the “thing” that we have lost? Can’t we consider our representations\, just like psychoanalytic theories\, an effort to reunite with our objects which no-longer-exist-there? \nOn October 6th-7th\, 2007\, at the third annual Psychoanalytic Views\, adult and child psychoanalysts and psychoanalytic candidates will be sharing their clinical experiences and theoretical questions by discussing the theme of Lost Object from different angles. \nPSYCHOANALYTIC VIEWS 3\n“Lost Object” \nIn collaboration with Bosphorus University Center for Psychological Research and Services (BÜPAM) \n6-7 October 2007\nBosphorus University Cultural Center\nAlbert Long Hall\n(South Campus)\nScientific Committee\nBella Habip\nİrem Anlı\nRefhan Balkan\nBerrak Ciğeroğlu\nNilüfer Erdem\nYavuz Erten\nSibel Mercan\nMelis Tanık \nOrganizing Committee\nYavuz Erten\nYeşim Korkut\nErhan Okşak\nÜmit Eren Yurtsever \nSYMPOSIUM PROGRAM\n6 October 2007\, Saturday \n08:30-17:30\nRegistration\nMain Conference Hall\n09:00-09:15\nOpening Speech\nBella Habip\n(In Turkish\, Simultaneous translation to French.) \n09:15-10:15\n“The Question of Primary Depression”\nDidier Houzel\nModerator: Nilüfer Erdem\n(In French\, with simultaneous translation.) \n10:15-10:45\nCoffee Break \n10:45-12:30\n“Concealing the Search for the Mother\, Staging Object Loss\, and a Creative Sublimation”\nMaurice Apprey\nModerator: Mine Özmen\n(In English\, consecutive translation by Eda Arduman) \n12:30-14:00\nLunch \n14:00-15:00\n“While Searching for the Traces of the Lost Object\nBianca Lechevalier\nModerator: Gökhan Oral\n(In French\, with simultaneous translation) \n15:00-16:00\n“The Man Searching for His Other Half”\nBella Habip\nModerator: Sibel Mercan\n(In Turkish\, with simultaneous translation to French) \n16:00-16:45\n“How Does the Psychotic Person Lose His/Her Object?”\nAyla Yazıcı\nModerator: Aslı Day Korkmaz\n(In Turkish\, with simultaneous translation to French) \n16:45-17:30\nCoffee Break \nWorkshops \nMain Conference Hall\n17:30-19:00\nVamık Volkan Workshop – I\nCase presented by: Sevil Kural\n(In Turkish.) \nKriton Curi Hall\n17:30-19:00\nBianca Lechevalier Workshop\nCase presented by: Melis Tanık\n(Translation from French to Turkish: Cemil Altunbaş) \nSeminar Room\n17:30-19:00\nMaurice Apprey Workshop\nCase presented by: Aslı Day Korkmaz\n(Translation from English to Turkish: Banu Büyükkal) \n7 October 2007\, Sunday \n08:30-17:00\nRegistration \nMain Conference Hall\n09:00-10:00\n“Not Letting Go: From Individual Perennial Mourners to Societies with Entitlement Ideology”\nVamık Volkan\nModerator: Işıl Vahip\n(In Turkish.
